Web service offers simple way for people to make money from weblogs.

Branford, CT (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) May 23, 2005 -- Many bloggers are using Google ads and PayPal donation buttons. Now there is another way for people to earn money from their weblogs.

Zoundry LLC (www.zoundry.com) announced the expansion of its beta service for bloggers to earn money for themselves or charity using affiliate links. Bloggers place these special links within product recommendations and earn cash rewards by referring visitors to online retailers.

Zoundry released new versions of its Zoundry Blog Writer™, the first weblog posting editor designed for writing product reviews. New features simplify the placement of affiliate links, images, and Technorati tags without needing to work with HTML source code. This allows non-technical writers who were previously intimidated by the complexities of HTML to take part in the affiliate marketing economy.

"I'm fairly technical, but I was confused when I first tried to copy and paste an affiliate link into the HTML of my blog," said Lawrence C. Lee, President of Zoundry LLC. "It was clear that bloggers needed an easier point-and-click solution."

For example, a blogger can write a review about a new MP3 player using the Zoundry Blog Writer. With a few simple clicks, he can place an affiliate link in the player's name, add a tag of "MP3 player," and post to his weblog. The blogger earns a commission through the Zoundry Service whenever someone reads the review at his weblog, at Technorati, or via an RSS feed, and clicks through to purchase the player.

"Bloggers now have another option besides advertising to earn money to pay for their hosting costs or support a charity," said Lee. "We want to encourage people of all technical abilities to write about interesting products, and allow their friends and family to reward them by purchasing through their weblog."

The Zoundry Blog Writer works on Windows 2000 or XP and is available as a free download from www.zoundry.com. The Zoundry Service is free to join upon invitation during the beta period.

About Zoundry:
Founded in 2004 by three veterans from a search software venture, Zoundry LLC enables word-of-mouth marketing by passionate writers on the Web. The company's patent-pending software simplifies blogging and affiliate marketing for non-technical writers, allowing them to share product recommendations online and earn rewards. Zoundry connects people who write about products with the merchants that sell those products, creating a mutually profitable relationship. For more information, visit www.zoundry.com.

Zoundry LLC is not affiliated with Google, PayPal, or Technorati.

New Major Search Engine BigClique.com Challenges Yahoo, Google & MSN

The Web's first search engine created by an African American combines efficiency with cutting-edge technology.

New York, NY (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) May 23, 2005 -- You've heard of them: Yahoo, Google, MSN, and Lycos. These are the big boys of Internet search engines, but they aren't the only ones who've come to play. BigClique.com is the newest major search engine to hit the World Wide Web, and it's bound to make some waves. www.BigClique.com offers something refreshingly different, it is the first major search engine developed and owned by an African American. The search engine is available in 17 foreign languages.

BigClique is a dedicated general search engine which was built and developed in the midst of a virtual monopoly in the search engine sector. "I felt the need to offer home-based, small and medium-sized business owners a level playing field in search engine marketing," says Mr. Femi Olu, Founder and CEO of BigClique.com. "Our search engine was designed to deliver new, targeted leads that ultimately keeps businesses alive".

Many search engine users have become frustrated by the thousands of results that don't give them what they're looking for.

BigClique users will be pleased to find that BigClique.com's technology offers only the results customers actually searched for cutting out all the untargeted clutter.

Typically, it seems major search engines change their algorithms every two weeks, making it practically impossible for smaller businesses to compete with the manpower and deep budgets of larger companies.

BigClique.com has been built based on equality and is the search engine of choice to source niché sites. BigClique's algorithms are based on many factors and have been fully tested. Mr. Olu. added "I am pleased our technology delivers responsive, targeted results to the end user."

BigClique web search listings are based on metaTags, page text, number of links coming into the site, and other "trademark
technical secrets." Web images are shown alongside search results in most cases.

BigClique.com was built with scalability at the epicenter of its technology. "Our Java technology architecture has been built from the ground up," says Mr Olu, "and we're continuously working to keep it at the forefront of search engine technology."

For more information about BigClique, visit: http://www.BigClique.com or call 917.210.8387.

About BigClique:
BigClique.com is an International general search engine available in 17 languages which competes on the same technology level as other well known major search engines. We use our own database and search technology to spider and index the internet, this leads to more targeted search results and cuts out all the other fake untargeted clutter you will find at other search engines.

Bestselling Book Says it's Different than Print Copy

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 23, 2005 -- According to a book making waves in bookstores and Internet circles alike, writing web copy with a print copy mindset will cost you sales.

The book, "Call To Action," by New York brothers Bryan and Jeff Eisenberg, says the different dynamics in how people use the internet, makes how you write copy vital.

"Internet users are different than those using print copy," explains Bryan Eisenberg. "So it should only make sense that the copy selling to them will work in a different manner."

Eisenberg explains that one major difference is a website's ability to be built using multiple links. A website, it's explained, should use multiple links to cater to exactly what a prospective customer is looking for.

"There's unlimited space on a website," says Eisenberg. "Where print copy is limited, and has to guess at who is targeted and what they're looking for, a website has the particular ability to filter people to places they want to be to do the things they’d like to do. Creating web content without taking advantage of the real power of its non-linear make-up is leaving it all on the table."

Another difference "Call To Action" points out is a web user's relative impatience compared to someone reading a print piece. Whereas readers of print material have, by choosing to read, in essence, opted in, web users more often are looking for something specific. The point: keep the copy shorter, and avoid long-winded statements of why what you’re selling is the best. Very often such copy, the book says, is just getting in your user’s way.

Bryan Eisenberg and Jeffrey Eisenberg are co-founders of Future Now, Inc., a marketing boutique focused on helping clients convert their website's traffic into leads, customers and sales by applying Persuasion Architecture, copywriting, usability and web analytics to design, redesign and optimize websites and other online marketing efforts. Future Now, Inc. has helped clients such as Dell, GE Volvo, Overstock & Disney.

(PRWEB) May 23, 2005 -- "The outcry from webmasters around the world for an unstoppable tool that replaces whole staffs of copyrighters, creates organic-feeling, and unbeatably unique content in any language is deafening. The rave reviews Article Bot continues to receive from users tells us we're on to something good," says Mr. Harrold.

"The excitement and controversy around Article Bot amazed us. We said that Article Bot was the future of content-creation, yet we were not prepared for the future coming so soon! With that lack of planning came a need to increase the price of Article Bot," says Don Harrold, Article Bot co-creator.

"Also, Article Bot is about to release a new and shockingly-revolutionary 'Relational Database Article Bot.' We plan to allow only folks who are current Article Bot users, at the time of release, to get their hands on this unstoppable software," says Mr. Harrold.

"Article Bot is fast-becoming a 'lightning rod' for the controversial issue of computer-generated content. From InformationWeek's article, 'Search Engines Face A Different Type Of Spam' (http://www.informationweek.com/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=160401672) to MSNBCS 'Blogs Etc' (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7635896/), Article Bot is probably the most misunderstood and underestimated content-creating tool since the Internet began. The release of Article Bot's 'Relational Database' version will only fuel that debate," concludes Mr. Harrold.

About Article Bot:
Article Bot is a text-manipulating, story-rewriting, content-generating software package. This often-misunderstood desktop application can do simple tasks (like re-write paragraphs of text in any language) to highly complex chores (like create a multi-thousand page website complete with unique articles, images, and more).

The algorithms behind Article Bot are patent-pending and are the sole property of Strike Saturday, Inc.

Interested parties should contact Article Bot at e-mail protected from spam bots or visit http://www.articlebot.com for more information.

TrueLocal has expanded its local search engine to offer local brick and mortar merchants ways to reach consumers both through free standard listings, through cost effective expanded listings, and through an advertising program designed to meet the needs of local advertisers.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 23rd, 2005 -- TrueLocal (http://www.truelocal.com) launches its advertising programs for local businesses including restaurants, hotels, dentists, and stores to reach 70% of American households. That number, provided by a 2005 Kelsey Group and ConStat study, represents the proportion of American households that use the web to find local services and products – an increase of 16% from 2003.

TrueLocal has expanded its local search engine to offer local brick and mortar merchants ways to reach consumers both through free standard listings, through cost effective expanded listings and an advertising program designed to meet the needs of local advertisers.

Based on the demand of local businesses both with and without an online presence, TrueLocal’s new advertising program TrueTarget, offers the simplicity and practicality of a traditional Yellow Pages ad. TrueTarget, an auction based program is only offered to local storefront businesses to encourage local searchers to do research before calling or heading down to their neighborhood store or restaurant to spend their money.

TrueLocal’s advertising model combines clicking and calling in a flat fee for one reason - statistics show small business owners have a difficult time determining the value of a click, call or impression. To avoid an advertising model that is time consuming and incomprehensible, TrueLocal’s advertising is simple for the small business owner to understand, monitor and evaluate.

After signing up for a TrueResults expanded listing ($40.00 a year) advertisers are automatically eligible to bid on TrueTarget advertising program. A business owner simply places a monthly bid on a category in a zip code and if successful their results appear at the top of the results relating to their business category.

TrueTarget provides advertisers with a free 1-800 number, reminds them when they have been outbid and tracks all relevant statistics so they can easily determine their ROI. And to ensure local businesses won’t compete with e-commerce sites and directories, only actual neighborhood businesses can advertise on TrueLocal. For those without an online budget, TrueLocal also offers a free standard business listing for businesses with a website who wish to add or update their basic information.

“TrueLocal is so pleased to launch TrueResults and TrueTarget at the 2005 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show because a large percentage of our searches involve food, restaurants and hospitality related queries.” says, Jake Baillie, Product Manager, TrueLocal. “Our search engine listings and our advertising policy promotes web users doing business with local brick and mortars, and restaurants are a perfect fit,” adds Baillie.

About TrueLocal:
TrueLocal www.truelocal.com recently launched its simple and savvy search tool that offers full text searches without cluttered results. TrueLocal takes robust franchise and business data and indexes only ‘physical’ storefront businesses to offer more relevant and accurate local business results. TrueLocal’s full text search function makes looking for dim sum, Barbie dolls, merlot, pizza delivery or teeth whitening anywhere in the U.S. as easy as apple pie. Currently indexing over 50 million pages, TrueLocal users can search for anything in their neighborhoods including products and brands through full text searching. TrueLocal combines the practicality of a Yellow Pages categorization and the technology of a search engine with a simple and unique design and navigation to encourage online users to do business offline.

Its relatively straight forward to get one way links, and the benefits are substantial. This article discusses afew of the best methods to get one way links to your website.

(PRWEB) May 23, 2005 -- One way links are a great way to increase link popularity and achieve higher ranking in the search engines. One way linking is encouraged by Google’s policy of democratic voting system, they are seen as a positive vote towards the quality and content of the website.

There are many benefits of acquiring one way links. One way links do not result in PageRank dilution. Websites do not have to link back to websites, thus saving them from the possibility of linking back to link farms or other banned websites. One way links tend to stay longer, reciprocal links maybe be dropped by websites when it does not suit their linking strategy any longer.

However, achieving one way links are not always very easy. So how does one go about acquiring one way links for a website? Here are a few suggestions:

Good content. One of the basic ways to achieve one way links is to offer good, unique and useful content to visitors. The moment visitors realize the value and importance of the content of a website, they will be tempted to link to it from their page. The best websites on the internet offering quality content are linked to by many many websites.

Free Content. Providing free content from a website enables webmasters to utilize this content on their own websites. In the process, a link back to your website is created. Free content can be in the form of articles, E-Books, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s), etc.

Directory Listings. This is one of the best ways to achieve one way links to a website. Submitting websites to directories creates a high value one way link to a website. Directories list websites under various categories and are generally well ranked and with good PR as well so it makes sense to submit websites to as many directories as possible. Also, get your site listed in DMOZ. Google will value sites which are listed in DMOZ.

Discussion Forums. Creating posts in discussion forums with a link to your webmaster in the signature creates one way links as well. Ofcourse it is important to check whether the posts of the discussion forums are actually being indexed by the search engines or not.

Write testimonials. If you’ve used a product or service online, you should consider writing a testimonial for the same with a link to your website at the bottom.

Outsource. You may outsource your link building to a company that does this on a day to day basis. http://www.KeywordMarketing.com also specializes in managing complete link exchange and one way link building programmes for websites.

Along with these techniques, there is the option of paying to achieve one way links. There are a number of websites that will link to your website for a one time or monthly fee.

Building one way links requires patience and long term determination. It is important to work on developing quality content alongwith the other methods of getting one way links, this results in developing natural one way links over a period of time.

According to Yahoo!, they are "testing a new platform that will be the basis for several new publisher-focused products." If you're a publisher, you can take "the Y!Q Challenge: Show the world an innovative use of Y!Q Beta, our contextual search technology, on one of your web sites and you could win $5,000!"

I could sure use an extra $5,000 right about now.

If you're interested in participating in the Y!Q Challenge, you need to be an online publisher of web content and sign up for the mailing list of the Yahoo! Publisher Products. In other words, go here: http://publisher.yahoo.com and enter your email address to learn more about the Yahoo! Publisher program. I'm not sure if they're allowing everyone to take the challenge, but you might want to hear about their Yahoo! Publisher program anyway if you've got a site that might qualify.

The Yahoo! Publisher program will most likely turn into a Google Adsense competitor, where Yahoo! will most likely use ads from Yahoo! Search Marketing, formerly Overture.

Lawyers Create www.LostClicks.com to Monitor Problem

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 23, 2005 -- Online advertisers who are concerned about click fraud have a new online clearinghouse, www.lostclicks.com, where they can learn more about a pending class action lawsuit against the major search engines and Internet corporations, and about recent developments in what is now being recognized as a major problem for advertisers.

“What we’d like is for www.LostClicks.com to become an electronic meeting place for advertisers and individuals who are concerned about pay-per-click (PPC) fraud,” says attorney Joel Fineberg of Dallas, who represents online advertisers in the class action lawsuit. “It’s very important that all of us share information because we’re dealing with a new technology and a new challenge. The more people who visit the site, the more knowledge we can all gain.”

Mr. Fineberg, along with associate Dean Gresham and Dallas attorney Stephen Malouf, have filed a class action lawsuit against the following defendants: Google, Yahoo!, Lycos, AskJeeves, Findwhat.com, GO.com, LookSmart, AOL, Netscape and Time Warner.

The defendant companies are accused of overcharging for PPC advertising, in which advertisers pay a fee every time an Internet user clicks on their ads. The lawsuit alleges many of those clicks are fraudulent, caused by competitor businesses attempting to increase an advertiser’s bill, or some other misuse. The suit also says the Internet companies selling the ads do a poor job of policing the fraud.

“We’re hoping that www.LostClicks.com can serve as something of an educational tool,” Mr. Fineberg says, “one that can help online advertisers better understand what’s happening. And ultimately, we think it can play a role in resolving the problem.”

Currently, www.lostclicks.com includes a growing click fraud library, linking Web surfers to articles written on the subject, as well as information on Mr. Fineberg and other lawyers involved in the class action lawsuit. In the future, the site will include an online forum where PPC advertisers can share information about their experiences with click fraud.

Find the "Best of the Best" that the World has to offer Quickly and Easily.

Sherbrooke, Canada (PRWEB) May 22, 2005 -- Mardox.com is fast becoming one of the most robust and complete World-Wide Web Directories. Larry Richards, spokesperson for the new company states, "Over the next few weeks we will be continuously updating our new directory with the goal of making World-Wide Web Searches more precise and a whole lot simpler."

Mr. Richards goes on to explain, "We are not a search engine. A search engine indexes the entire Internet. A web directory's sole mission is to index quality information under a vast selection of categories. Imagine your local library without an indexing system to organize all those books ... just a huge pile of books in the middle of the floor. A search engine is a massive library with no clear method of indexing or categorizing books. That's why many of the results you get are so off-topic. A web directory is also a massive library but with a very clear structure that allows the user to precisely find anything they are looking for without being swamped with millions of irrelevant results."

"Mardox Corporation invites any website owner to get their site listed in this new directory. Visit: http://www.mardox.com where you can add your site with a basic listing that's absolutely free or enhance your listing and position for a small fee.
